The Process Behind the Final Form

2020年。
ぼくは、「本当に表現したいもの」と「自分にできること」の間に、大きな隔たりがあることを痛感していました。

In 2020,
I found myself facing a vast gap between what I truly wanted to express and what I was technically capable of creating.

その差を埋めるために、ぼくは“努力だけ”に頼るのではなく、ひとつの選択をしました。

To bridge that distance, I chose not only effort, but also a different path.

それは、テクノロジーを使い、最短距離で「理想の表現」へ到達するという選択です。

I decided to use technology as a way to reach the expression I envisioned through the shortest possible route.

Astro Kalistaは、一度で完成した作品ではありません。

Astro Kalista was not born in a single attempt.

生成AIによる試行を100回以上繰り返し、構図、光、銀河、色彩、存在感――あらゆる要素を何度も見直しました。

I repeated the generative process over a hundred times, revisiting every element — composition, light, galaxies, color, and presence.

何度生成しても、“彼女”にはならなかった。

But no matter how many times I generated it,it still wasn’t “her.”

「AIらしさ」を感じさせない領域へ辿り着くまで、半月以上をかけて磨き続けました。

It took more than two weeks of continuous refinement to reach a form that no longer felt merely “AI-generated.”

右側に広がる銀河はAIによって生み出されたもの。
しかし、左側に漂う繊細な光や粒子、空気感の調整には手作業の積み重ねがあります。

The galaxy flowing through the right side was generated through AI.
But the delicate light, particles, and atmosphere on the left were carefully layered by hand.

これは単なる“AI作品”ではありません。

This is not simply an “AI artwork.”

人の意思と感性、そしてテクノロジーが交差することで生まれた表現です。

It is an expression born from the intersection of human intention, sensitivity, and technology.

完成された一枚の裏側には、数え切れないほどの可能性が存在していました。

Behind the final image existed countless unrealized possibilities.

形を変え、色を変え、光の在り方を問い続ける。
このプロセスは、単なる試行錯誤ではありません。

The shapes changed.
The colors evolved.
The nature of light itself was questioned again and again.

This process was never just trial and error.

それは、「どの宇宙を選ぶか」という選択の連続でした。

It was a continuous act of choosing which universe should ultimately exist.

無数の分岐の中から、ひとつの存在が定義されていく。
それが、Astro Kalista。

From infinite branches of possibility, one existence gradually defined itself.
That existence became Astro Kalista.

ぼくにとって“完成”とは終点ではありません。
それは、意思がひとつに収束した瞬間に過ぎないのです。

To me, completion is not an ending.
It is merely the moment when intention converges into a single form.
